DVV smoke and heat extract fans are used in case of fire to extract smoke gases from rooms and also during normal working conditions for standard ventilation.
Smoke-free escape ways increase the chances to rescue people in case of a fire. For installation only on top of heated buildings (with accessory FSL also for unheated buildings up to SL 1000).
Octagonal casing is manufactured from seawater resistant aluminium. The base frame consists of hot-dip galvanised steel. Impeller with backward-curved blades is manufactured from steel and galvanized. For C4 (and up) corrosion category additional surface protection of exposed parts is recommended.
Motor cooling with fresh air via air duct. The motor protection is provided by customers. Service switch serial on cooling duct. For speed control of single speed motors use combination of frequency converter and appropriate filter to motor side (sine or du/dt), respectively observe instructions. Tested to 400°C/2h together with frequency converter. However, we recommend bridging of frequency converter in case of fire to eliminate possible risk of malfunction of frequency converter. In case of fire all motor protective devices and thermal protections in frequency converter must be bridged or disabled to guarantee functional capability. At frequency controlled units additional EMC protection could be needed (on request). When choosing AES control accessorie please observe serial connecting capability of the service switch of the DVV fan (instructions). Higher connecting capability on request.
